Starting CúanAngel: My First Steps Toward a Creative Business Dream

This year, I’m stepping into uncharted territory, turning my passion for design and marketing into a business I’ve envisioned for years. It’s equal parts thrilling and nerve-wracking, but I believe every successful journey begins with a single, intentional step. For me, that step is creating CúanAngel—a space where creativity, strategy, and design come together to help professionals grow their businesses with a strong and authentic presence.

The Dream of CúanAngel

CúanAngel, which means "little fox angel" in Irish, embodies the qualities I hope to bring to my work: the cleverness and wisdom of a fox paired with the light and guidance of an angel. I want this business to provide creative solutions that empower professionals to focus on what they do best while trusting me to enhance their brand identity.

Right now, this dream feels fragile and full of potential, like a seed waiting to grow I’ve got big ideas—digital templates, custom branding kits, and a vision for helping others tell their stories beautifully and professionally—but I’m starting small, building the foundation piece by piece.

Facing the Nerves

Let me be honest: I’m nervous, choosing the image above of my little cúan (fox), who looks a little apprehensive, and something I can relate too, right now! This is a leap of faith, and doubt has a way of creeping in when you’re at the start of something new. Can I make this work? Will people love what I create? Am I ready for this responsibility? These questions feel heavy at times, but they also remind me of why I’m doing this—to create something I love, something that brings value to others and feels aligned with who I am.

I’ve decided to embrace the nerves and channel them into excitement. Instead of focusing on what could go wrong, I’m giving my attention to what’s possible: the joy of creating, the satisfaction of helping others, and the pride of building something meaningful.

3. Balance and joy: This business is about more than work. It’s about creating a life I love, with time for my family, creativity, and the things that light me up.

4. Professional growth: I want to master the art of building a sustainable, scalable business that reflects my values and showcases my skills.
